Recently I have acquired a used K-01. Overall form factor is better than I expected (after reading the negative comments!). Lack of view finder is somewhat limiting, but it is annoying that even with focus peaking, Live View manual focusing is not as easy as K5's live view.

Is it possible to magnify the view during focusing and go back to no-zoom view after it is focused?

Hey, welcome! Yeah, the K-01 is a special little camera. You will like its image quality, and you will get used to the design. It really does grow on you

You press Ok for the camera to give you a crop view and open the aperture wide open for easiest focusing. Then you press ok again and the camera goes into "normal" live view (which is better for composing, but not perfect for focusing). Or you wait a little bit and it goes back automatically. It is possible you have the zoom magnification linked to shutter half-press

Which lenses are you trying to MF, though? Some are easier than others. Ultra wide angle is difficult to "see" the focus area. Same for lenses with appx. f3.5 or slower aperture

Great! That's a cool lens, even though it is not super easy to focus manually. Some lenses have a longer focus throw, so they are easier to do manual focus; mostly its older lenses, like FA and F series.
