Hi -

I just purchased a used Sigma DG APO 70-200mm f2.8 II lens from a local camera dealer. Beautiful, beautiful lens. Shop had it repaired and CLA'd before selling it to me, and it works great on my K-S2 so far.

However, when I try to use it on my K-01 (for science!), it won't autofocus. It just scans from close to far and never locks in.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a setting, perhaps, that I need to adjust? Is it because the AF method is different on the K-01?

Ideas appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: I have firmware 1.05 installed on the K-01. I believe this is the latest version.

The lens may just not focus using Contrast Detect Autofocus(CDAF). I know the Tamron 70-200 has similar issues. Try using it on your KS-2 in Liveview and see if there is any difference. I know my Tamron 70-200 would not focus at times on my K3 in Liveview.

PF is amazing.

Oh, and yeah, no focus in live view on the K-S2. Definitely a CDAF issue. Good call!
