I should post a Family shot when all four are together
I have two, but only because I thought i would conserve one. Since I got K-1 I'm culling down to what I use - but K-01 is used often with DA15, DA35/2.8 and manual lenses. I love that sensor and Prime M.

Yep, and if you don't have all five, you haven't been banging them into your forehead hard enough!

Mine sits in a space in the K1 kit, it looks after the spare battery and ltd 40mm.It comes out occasionally for quick short shooting sessions.A great back up to have in the bag.

There's a fifth and if you ask me, it's the nicest of all. Have you seen the silver edition that was only sold in Europe?

Silver K-01 with silver DA lens
Now that is showing off

Didn't know about the fifth - bummer

Every now and then, I just take it off the shelf and use it. I can't explain why. Many times it's because with the 40XS it fits in a jacket pocket, it gives me the same IQ as my K-5 in a much more convenient package.

Still have all three of mine. Keep the yellow one in my bag as a backup. Wish I had more excuses to use it.

I'm just suprised there are adverts for K-01's "new" on ebay.

And Todd, totes jealous.

Delkin makes a pop up shade, has anyone used it? I'm not a big fan of sticking anything to my equipment!

I use a removable one, which can be attached to and removed from a tripod plate by means of a magnetic joint, easy to remove when not needed.

I very rarely have issues with light and focusing, and I live in Florida where the sun is very bright. Though it can be difficult when you mix long lenses and bright light since the focusing target is pretty thin.

I love my K-01 though I need to get off my buns and fix the mode dial on it lol. Also I need to find a way to clean the rubber since it's getting to look a bit dingy.

Works OK, but somewhat fragile; buy two

I used alcohol to get the blood off my yellow K-01.

[Don't ask!]

I did not have much success with this shade. Glue ultimately dried out and it fell off. Shade itself was "ok." added to bulk and really limits you to holding the unit at eye level.
