Case for K01 with 35mm 2.4 AL

I told myself next time a saw the 35mm 2.4 AL for less than $100 I was going to get it, well, it hit $96! After taking a few snapshots I think this is going to be my go to light weight kit. Can someone save me a lot of research time: If you have a nice fitting case for this camera/lens combo give me the name and model number? My pentax case is way bigger than it needs to be for this combo. Thanks for any suggestions, just looking for something simple that will provide a little protection when traveling with it.

A holster-type bag is perfect for my K-01.

That case is made for use with the 40mm lens, I'm looking for a small case for a k01 and the 35mm lens!

Oops, I just looked at the size of the 35mm , quite large compared to the 21 or 40xs

OP/TECH should have a neoprene pouch to fit:

Looks like the recommended size is style D-SHORTIE. If unsure call their customer service/tech support phone number.

That's a great walk around combination, I use it myself. I found an old Pentax case that fits it perfectly (and you even have room for a couple of spare batteries on the bottom) they are common on ebay:

Op/Tech's D-Shortie is a bit low and too skinny on the grip side. For the K-01 with a DA-35 mounted, the D-Offset fits perfectly (I have one). With a pancake lens, I find the D-Compact is the best fit (got one of those, too).

Among the generic Chinese neoprene pouch/cases (NeoPine, MegaGear, Dengpin, etc.), the case for the Nikon P600 is a good fit on the K-01 with a DA-35-sized lens.

That is the case I have, in fact I have two of them! You're right there's room for extra stuff, lot's of room.

Thanks, I knew there were others using this camera/lens combo!
I ended up ordering a used D-Offset for $9, thanks!

If a neoprene pouch/case is what you are looking for, I can recommend the Op/Tech D-Offset. It's more expensive than the Chinese pouches, but it has thicker material and better stitching. It's what my K-01 wears if it's in my backpack.

I've also tried some of the LowePro "100-size" mini shoulder bags for mirrorless, with mixed results. The Adventura 100 was a snug but acceptable fit for the K-01 with a lens, but the Edit 100 was too small unless you took the lens off. I forget what the third one was (apart from free) - it was big enough to fit a K-5 with a lens. It's been a few years, and I haven't tried any of the latest models on the K-01.

Thanks for the info, I ended up ordering a used d-offset for $9 with free shipping, can't go wrong with that deal now that I know that the fit is right! That's why I wanted first hand info!

Just to follow up on this, the D-Offset does truly fit like a glove, it's like it was made for the K01/35mm AL combo. BTW: The 'used' one I bought does not seem to have ever been used and came on the original store display card so I'm not sure what the deal is there but it works for me!
