I'm guessing the Hasselblad has an EVF.

The k-01 looks better. Kind of makes you think if the k-01 was slightly before its time, would anyone even blink at a chunkier mirrorless nowadays?

If it had an EVF and a tilting LCD, no.

Makes you think that what if K-01 had a fullframe sensor......how different would that be?

I still believe that lack of an EVF is what 'doomed' the K-01. At roughly the same time Pentax issued the K-01, Sony issued their 'NEX' series and Canon issued the 'EOS M'; none of these cameras had an EVF and none of them was a commercial success. Sony and Canon kept trying - today the Canon M-50 {with EVF} is highest Canon APS-C on B&H "Best Selling" list and the Sony A6400 {with EVF} is highest Sony APS-C on B&H "Best Selling" list.

Good cameras no doubt but compared to the 8 year old K-01 they have poor battery life, irritating menus, mediocre ergonomics, no IBIS and no green button!

The K-01 fit in seamlessly with the Pentax system without adapters however, and was a great backup camera for a Pentax dslr.

The K-01 was initially over-priced and would have been even more so if it had been introduced with a EVF. As I recall, EVF's in general weren't very good in 2011.

I'd go as far to say that they were horrible" as some reviewers put it.

My point was that Sony and Canon persisted and eventually came up with a winning solution.
The Hasselblad that started this thread could have been the result if Pentax had the resources to persist.
