Come now Wupert. You make a blatantly inflammatory statement that has no basis in fact whatsoever with the intent of stirring up trouble and you don't expect to be called on it. As a reasonable person I would have made the same statement had you written:-

He is your president, too, just as George W. Bush was the president of the entire country. Have you burned your flag, seceded or given up your citizenship? If you don't think he is a good president, then work like heck to elect someone else. That person will be "my president" as well.

Artesian.
Most of the outrage is in media you won't look for, let alone read.
Do you still believe in the myth of liberal media?

Actually, I really didn't consider Bush a legitimate President. It's clear that electoral malfeasance and cheating on the GOP's part, particularly in swing states like Ohio and Florida and other places, was just enough to swing the election and subvert the electoral returns. The Bush v Gore court ruling was actually about assertions made by one of the cheaters.

I still respected the office, but how Bush got in there was a travesty.

o/~"They're hanging chads and dimples all because I voted Green." o/~

(Actually, where I was, there was no danger of a Bush win, so I *did* vote to show where I was at. )

Which is quite a bit different than some people unclear on the fact that Hawaii is a state, claiming Obama's birth records are inadequate, or simply not wanting to accept that they lost an election.

I'm sticking to what I wrote, and if you are sticking with your "Glenn Beck" you are well defined here....you pretty much were anyhow, but this just removes all doubt.
I'd like to see some evidence of Nancy or Harry encouraging pitch fork armed citizens to "rise up", or where they find a Nazi behind every bush in America....but your boy Beck can be seen doing exactly this nightly. You may be on the right side of right in some of your opinions here Mr Ginge, but you are sure not when you support such radicals as Glenn and Sarah that stir the minds of the sickest among us to do devious acts. I guess you have tried to forget your boy Timothy McVeigh, but the rest of us have not forgotten.
Regards!

Whether you (or I) thought Bush v. Gore or the Florida state cases going the other way were correctly decided or not, he was president, and, IMHO, it would be disrespectful not to acknowledge him as such.

Yes, you are right of course, and I assume you gave great respect to Sadam Hussein in his last election, where out of millions of votes cast, only one was against him?
Fraud bad there...
Fraud good here....
You can't have it both ways.
Regards!

Let me add that it is far different to question an election vote than to question the qualifications of the person elected...after they have been elected. The "Birthers" are a continuing disgrace to the "Legitimate Right" , assuming that such a thing still exists. Obama was elected with a handy majority, in spite of this issue being well distributed before a single vote was cast. I don't know how you describe these people that want to continue to harp on this dead horse, maybe they are just plain wingnuts, fruitloops, or racists, but whatever they are, they are not playing with a full deck of cards.
If you saw the interview with the Army Col, that is giving up a long career to champion this cause for the insane that are leading him, you just have to wonder what kind of people we are facing when we hear this trash? He is a Doctor and a Colonel, with a long career...yet he is going to be prosecuted for his foolish ideas. What kind of mind would go in this direction?

Frankly, if he wasn't going to respect the office, why should I respect him?

Inasmuch as Gore conceded, inasmuch as the office means something, that's as far as it goes. The man had no business in the White House and that's what that is.

President bashing

I have a co-worker who "was" a staunch republican. One (of many of course ) of the things that irritated him the most about me was my "president bashing"... He believed it was disrespectful and , obviously, his "side" didn't do it... No more than minutes after the election his "side" started in on Obama... presently this hypocracy has him leaning far away from his party....
I tried to explain it is just a "sport" in America.....

If you actually read stuff around here you will find that RML introduced me to Beck just yesterday when she posted that Lewis Black video. Until yesterday, I would have had a job picking him out of a crowd of two.

Face it... Your pigeonhole simply isn't big enough for me...

You know Mr Ginge, that is truly sad news....it means that rather being slowly indoctrinated by Glenn, which might afford you some excuse and sympathy, you are like him by natural selection. I've always heard about the "evil" gene and how some are just born with it, but always discounted it as being reality.......hmmmm, maybe not so fast!

Did you respect Slick? With how he defiled the Office of the Presidency. And the Oval Office with his seed?

You know George, hardly anyone really gave a rat's hiney about what Billy Boy did in the Oval Office that "defiled" the high moral standards of a corrupt and immoral America. The hypocrisy from the right is almost laughable, with your Larry Craigs and Appalachian Trail hikers........your Vitters and the long, long , list of other real sexual perverts that wear your colors.
List of Republican Sex Scandals - WikiProtest ~ The Wiki of the Revolution

Jesus George defiled the Constitution, was responsible for the deaths of many tens of thousands of innocents, including our own brave young Soldiers, and yet you hold him in high regard. Not hard to imagine really...that is the nature of the right, and you are not one iota different. If you want to preach morals, you have a huge field of needy followers....followers of the right, get yourself a soap box and go to work!
Regards!
