The Economy Is Improving

At least that's what they tell us. Jobs being created and whatnot. Well almost. Seems as though a bunch of people just lost there jobs. And another business has gone belly up in these great economic times.

Employees who reported for work at Sam Seltzer's Steakhouses in Florida on Monday learned the chain had unceremoniously shut its doors.

"Closed for business" read signs taped on the doors at six stores in Clearwater, Port Richey, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Fort Myers and Sarasota. More than 300 employees are now jobless.

Wonder why? Didn't they have the best roadkill in the State? Couldn't have been anything but the fault of Obama....right? If he had just encouraged people to eat more Possum.......the Other White Meat.

I heard he started serving George's Cannoli with every steak, and they went from #1 in the State...to closed...overnight! Communistic Italian is not a favorite in Florida, is it?

I love those unattributed quotes that could have been written by yourself... or some other equally unqualified partisan.

That's OK Jeff... You're what every woman wants... a ten inch Woody.

And H&R Block is closing 400 locations and axing 400 people. Foreclosures are at an all time high. Sure glad the recessions over.

Foreclosures started off the first quarter with modest gains but spiked in March to a record 367,000 filings. Plus, nearly 258,000 of those filings were for bank repossessions, the highest quarterly total RealtyTrac has ever reported.
Foreclosures spike 7% in first quarter of 2010 - Apr. 15, 2010

George, they are a seasonal business. They close most of their offices every year about this time.......get off that Faux News George, it is ruining your reputation....well, it would if you had one worth ruining!

Foreclosures...were those homes bought when Jesus George ran the show.....no wonder! Barney made him loan to dead people...and he did it with a smile on his face too! Remember? I bet Barney is the one behind all the H&R Block closings too.......reckon?

Eh, Graphics is just in a tizzy cause the property values he thought he was protecting just got f---- ...err, treated discourteously by the corporations he's been shedding crocodile tears for and attacking everyone else in the world for all this time.

At least with all the sludge on Florida's shores, Graphics, you might finally get your wish to be left alone?

Look on the bright side.

Like, maybe none of those 'pesky other people' will come bother you ever again.

Bon appetit.

Florida is crazy with restaurants--there are way too many of them, and half of them stink.

In any recession, people are going to eat home more, and travel for vacation less--an especially deadly combination for Florida. Add ruined beaches and a polluted environment to the mix, and we're really screwed here.

The economy was bad enough, and now this?

He can't invite many people for dinner, because there must be only around five manatees left.

Better a recipe for Florida Panther. We're loaded with them--around 50 (give or take 20) in the entire state.
