Are we heading in the same direction as Greece?

Greece's debt to GDP is somewhere in the 117% range. Ours I believe is in the mid 80 percentile and going ballistic faster that Chuck Yeager. So are we headed to the same fate as Greece? And if so will the IMF bail out the Obamarama?

All those countries Obamarama bowed or apologized to. Why? You don't think they'd help us out? I mean we did have the great apology tour 1, 2 and 3.

We may be headed that way, but OBO will not get any of the blame. If we do end up that way it will likely take longer than the Obamination will be around so it will be blamed on his successor if he is republican, or on his predecessor if his successor is a Democrat. OBO will come out of it unscathed.

Keep blaming Obama and the Democrats. I know you aren't bothered by facts, so maybe you can explain this....

Don't you think we should wait till his term(s) is over? Also, even if you count President Obama, the record for Republicans don't actually reflect fiscal conservatism.

Why? In Bush's last year in office it went from 65.6% to 70.2% an increase of 4.6 percentage points. In Obama's first year it went from 70.2% to 86.1%, an increase of 15.9 percentage points.
The actual debt increased 1.035 Billion in Bush's last year, and in OBO's first year it increased 2.3 Billion.
Yep, I love facts.

Bush basically post-dated some serious checks in that regard, actually.

Tsk, tsk. Making a spelling error in a post criticizing someone else's spelling is is bit of a faux pas, no?

ROTFLMAO

Now to the OP's question. Yes. The fault starts in the Clinton years and the no rules mortgage era. Who cares if you have a job? Buy a house anyway.

It's getting so bad now that the world's bank (the Chinese) are scared to lens the US money. They feel it may never be repaid.

And I know you folks love to only put half the facts into play as evidenced by this chart.

But let's look at the rest of the story.
Here is your information again but as a line chart. Now let's plug in a few more relevant facts. During Reagan, Bush, for instance. A democratic congress led by a Conservative President. Spending of course went up. You have a tax and spend congress after all. But you have a Conservative President who holds it down as much as possible. Of course some spending must happen to fix the debacle the previous administration made in regards to our military. Bush 41. Again a tax and spend congress led by a Conservative President. Holds down spending but as usual it is impossible to fully control a tax and spend congress. And of course the line item veto Reagan asked for was never granted. Along comes Slick. Now here you have a tax and spend congress with a tax and spend president. But 2 years into his term something interesting happens. A Fiscally Conservative Congress is elected. They are able to not only rein him in but to bring spending under control to the point we can actually have a surplus. (Well on paper anyway) And of course he takes credit for it. Then W. Pretty much a RINO. And of course the makeup of congress has changed. There are still repubicans in office but alas they are not the Conservatives of the past. They like to spend. RINOs we call them. But still we have something happen that has never happened before. We are attacked on our own soil. Naturally defense spending goes up. Unfortunately to get some of W's defense spending through he must acquiesce and sign funding that includes a bunch of pork. Again I bet it would have been nice to have a line item veto.

And that leads us to the Obamarama. You have a socialist president. A speaker of the house that is a tax and spend and then spend more liberal. Again proving that we are in trouble. The line seems to go ballistic with no control in sight.
