It does amaze me how Canada manages to get on with government and reasoned discussion of policy. There's something seriously wrong with your political system

The biggest difference between Canadian and American voters is Canadians would never put a George Bush or Sarah Palin in office. For the most part people don't think of themselves or label others liberal or conservative. We vote for whichever party we think won't disappoint us more than the other. That George Bush could win two elections is both shocking and appalling to Canadians. As one of our esteemed politicians put it, he's a moron! And how much dumber is that stupid bimbo Palin?

On November 4th, 2008 the world breathed a collective sigh of relief when America voted for the best man and proved to the world that there is more intelligence than stupidity in the US of A. Still there remains a threat to global stability when there are so many idiots willing to vote for the most unqualified idiot in the history of politics. Sarah Palin? Seriously? FOX is more dangerous drugs.

Well, JHD your post is a bit radical but I agree with your general idea. However, our politics are a bit messed up right now with a minority goverment, always on the brink (?) of collapsing....And to be truthful, Canada has not much bested itself since the tories are at power...but they most probably will win the next elections. And with a canadian FOX, maybe they will get enough suport to be a majority ruling goverment ()

About your "putting an idiot in office twice" thing, it is genereal consensus in our province that (Jean Charst, Quebec, and thats actually Three times!!!) we have done just that! And were stuck with him for another three years!!!!

Anyway, I cant wait for a leader or party, beit conservative, liberal, NPD or watherve to elevate the debate, ideas and passions for progress instead of petty bickering.

Now that is just a stupid, absurd statement. The present person keeping the seat warm in the Oval Office makes W look like a genius. Damn he makes Carter look like a genius. Gee I wonder if your one of them "liberals".

That's the first time I saw Bush and genius in the same sentence.
