Well a couple of days ago Tampa lost two of its finest. Dontae Morris killed 2 Tampa PD officers.

My prayers and condolences go out to the officers families.

What I would like to know is why this guy was even on the street? I live about 25 miles N. of Jacksonville and they seem to think he is headed there or already there. Apparently, those officers aren't the first people he has shot or shot and killed. He is suspected in 2 or 3 more shootings. Hopefully, when he is cornered by the police, he will save the state the cost of trial and incarceration and reach for his weapon so the cops can just put an end to it. Sounds harsh, but when I was a teenager, I babysat for a cop and his wife who lived down the street from us. A few years later, I was at work and he pulled somebody over in the parking lot of my job-the guy grabbed Ron's gun, shot him and stole his cruiser-running Ron over in the process. He died as I was kneeling next to him. They caught the guy and he is now serving life in Starke. I have nothing for people who can just take a life like that.

There was a time when people would have said something like "That must be hard on his parents", or "What would make a kid turn out like that?"
Anymore, the odds are that kids like that turn out exactly the way they were raised.

Thing is many people "helped" him hide. People didn't even want the flyers and handouts. Some thought he was a "hero" for killing 2 cops.
