Really?
I mean, I described a certain amount of time, and how it progressed, here.
I realize of course that the moment I spoke up, the conservatives proclaimed me, 'Aha, a typical man-hating separatist lesbian all along,' while refusing to answer for a long time my simple question when they did this: 'What's my sexual orientation?'
They've been defending their slurs as reality ever since, even though it should have been obvious from my aforementioned mentioning of boyfriends (Or even asking that question repeatedly) that I am in fact bi.
It went on for *months,* them insisting I was that stereotype and thinking this or that, even after I actually *said* otherwise. Then saying, 'How you write makes no sense,' even when directly quoting simple declarative sentences that said the opposite of what I did.'
This is beyond "PC' or politeness, ...it's about even having any respect at all for what we're ostensibly doing here.
If it's communicating and not propaganda masquerading as debate,
Well.
Maybe it's not about 'sides.' Maybe it's about the words. Maybe it's about even paying *attention* to all this.
No high hopes at this point. But maybe.
And like I said, it's not just about me: If people want to bash at 'Illegal immigrants and anyone that might be one,' it's the same thing.
The reality of it is that that 'Gummint' some ostensibly hate but seek to control makes the lines between 'illegal' and 'legal' pretty damn arbitrary. It's not neccessarily the lives you think you know all about. Just cause they aren't here advertising doesn't mean you're right.
