If given the job to photograph KISS in concert..

What kind of shots would promoter, magazines and etc look for?

Have you ever seen a picture of Gene Simmons less than 50 feet tall?

I think low angles and wide would be suited. Nothing too sharp though.
Best joke I have heard was "Congratulations to the guy who taught an ape to play bass."
Those guys had a great image for a while. Gazing at album art and concert poster with blood flowing from Gene and smoke coming from Ace's guitar. I have many of their albums on cd and the memory of an older boy on my block having the "Spirit of '76" poster.

The desired pictures must be sharp and dramatic, ie well-lit. Take a 645D, banks of carefully-placed strobes, and LSD.

A question best answered by promoter, magazines and etc., in conjunction with your perusal of promoter's past work, older editions of the mags, & etc., plus your own creative vision.

Whatever you do, you have to make sure you don't get any of their walkers or oxygen tanks in frame.

These guys have come out of the old folks home lately. I guess they pissed their money away on drugs and gold plated toilets.

I don't know the financial situation of all of them (I can't stand Kiss), but they've put their name on every piece of merchandising crap since the 70s, and it hasn't stopped ever in the past 40 years.

So money-wise, I think they're pretty well set up. They just have big egos, and want MORE money.

Now, Hot Tuna, who I photographed as a publications photographer in the 70s...

THEY have money problems.
