What's your religious affiliation?

Just a little informal poll to gauge opinion here on the P&R forum.

I've tried to include most of the relevant belief categories, I think. Sorry if I missed yours.

The "non-theistic religious" category is stretching it a bit because no one really agrees on whether these religions qualify as non-theistic, but there you go...

LOL depending on the day and context any of the last five would suit me so I have to go with Syncretist (does that hurt my pancreas?)

I thought I was Agnostic, but your definition of Deist fits much better. Thanks for the insight.

Tried to change "he's" to "it's" in the deist description, but it seems I lack the capability. :P

That'd be the last option, I think.

Thats a tough poll to be honest , I choose monotheist because thats what I practice but my thoughts and philosphy thinking tends to be more pluralist. I feel that all religions have at their core some sort of creation story and I think that one could say that all religions are simply based on an aspect of God that is comfortable for the person to follow since I think it unlikely that if there is a true God that our minds are currently incapable of perceiving it as it actually is.

I dont' know that that was progressive. "It" is not a usual pronoun replacing god. How about this instead: Deist (god exists but is not an active presence)

I think the meaning gets across either way, but yours is certainly better written.

I am a practising Anglican (Church Of England)..have been all my life.
Lots of people are sensitive about Religion...I'm not....I don't "preach" my beliefs to anyone else, and I'm happy to listen to everyone's point of view/belief.....as long as they don't try to "preach" their beliefs to me.
Cheers, Pickles.

It would be interesting to break it down by country as well...
