Jury Duty-one less pedophile

So, a few weeks ago, I got the summons in the mail telling me to report to court last Mon.. Got herded around for a few hours like a sheep-from courtroom to jury room and back to courtroom. While we were in the second courtroom, after all the rig-a-ma-role, I heard my name called in the middle of 13 others. Dang-got a trial to sit in on. I was so hoping it would not go that way. It was a trial for a guy who had molested his girlfriend's 3 1/2 year old son. One charge of aggravated child molestation and one count of child molestation. We got to see all kinds of video questioning and interviews including one of the guy and a police Lt.. He changed his story 3 times-first story was "he was watching porn on TV, the little boy got out of bed, came in the living room, tripped over a pair of shoes and his mouth just happened to land where it did" to bring the aggravated child molestation charges. Nobody bought that one. It was awful hearing all that stuff. One thought that kept running through my head was that if it had been my kid, I would be on trial for killing the pervert. There was enough evidence to convict him on both charges. In Ga. the charge of aggravated child molestation carries a mandatory 25 year sentence, so I'm glad that he will serve each and every day of that. He got 20 years on the second charge-to run consecutively. He's 23 now, so he will be at least 48 or older when he does get out. I doubt if he will survive prison. He just seemed to give off a vibe that will invite trouble in there. I don't believe this guy (had he been found not guilty) would be a danger to a kid walking past his house on the way home from school. He did not appear to be that ambitious. I do think that he would be a huge danger to any child in his home, though. I would bet that if he had gotten out, his next girlfriend would have had a kid, too.
Anybody else got any jury duty stories?

Nothing happened to the mom. Her dad had a massive heart attack and she was in Texas when this happened. When she got back, her son told her what had happened. She said she left her son with the boyfriend because she planned on spending all her time at the hospital and apparently her dad was not expected to make it.

Been on a jury 2 times.

First was a simple assault and battery that should never have gone to trial (first time prosecutor and first time defender...)

Second was attempted murder.
