Lost Life Magazine 3rd Reich Photos

The photographer apparently vanished in Germany in 1940, a nurse saved the Rolleiflex photos 'til her death, and her daughter sent them to Time-Life.

Nice that they lasted all this time-but they gave me the creeps for some reason. Guess it's the whole world domination thing he had going.

very nice collection! thank you for sharing the link. I do wonder though about the photographer. someone who was able to spend that much time photographing, that close to hitler, it makes you wonder how he just ‘vanished’ five years before the end of the war.

It's a fanzine, for fans of a JJ Abrams TV production that just made stuff up as it went along.

It's the ordinary photographs such as those that convey the extraordinary power and hold over the German people that Hitler had.

Most of the war pictures we see show the horrors of the conflict, we're used to seeing that, but Hitler sat on a sofa laughing?

That's different, and knowing what we know about him now, it's chilling.

Photojournalism is powerful as well, those pictures are a great example of the art.
