interesting read

"But while these explanations may be valid, they are also incomplete. A sense of disappointment, bordering on betrayal, has been growing across the country, especially in moderate states like Indiana, where people now openly say they didn't quite understand the President they voted for in 2008."

"Back in Indiana, the evidence of Obama's political failure is particularly glaring. During his early, heady days in office, the President decided to make Elkhart a personal cause. A once thriving manufacturing center of 50,000 on the Michigan-Indiana border, famous for its musical instruments and recreational vehicles, the Elkhart region saw the steepest jump in unemployment of any metropolitan area in the nation during the economic crisis."

So what's the answer for this problem, a Cash for Clunker RV's? The high price of fuel killed the RV business before Obama ever took office. Far too many people have unrealistic expectations. Of course the govt. could provide RV's to everybody who has their home foreclosed and give the unemployed music lessons and a guitar as job training. They would be happy in Elkhart.

Seems like use of "saw" rather than "has seen" and "the" rather than "this"
puts all in past tense.

Indiana has more Democrats than Republicans as representatives, but the Elkhart seat has been Republican for 15 years, and Bush and McCain both soundly thrashed their Democratic rivals in that area. I don't think there will be a big change in Elkhart.

South Dakota is just the opposite. More Republicans than Democrats, but half of our U.S. Senators are Democrat and ALL of our U.S. House Representatives are democrat.

Let's quit looking at labels and see what the candidate really stands for. If they aren't going to help our country instead of themselves they don't need to be elected. Just my two cents.

Agreed, but the priorities for ANY politician, regardless of party, are power, followed by money, and in third place..............more power. There are fundamental differences in the two parties, but they all have the same ultimate goal. They just try different routes to get there.

The comment about ALL of our representatives being Democrat was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. We only have 1, and she is about as centrist as politician can be.

Do you honestly think, for one second, that anybody gives a damn what these politicians actually Believe in? Or more importantly, that the Politicians care about what the people who put them in office believes? The sheople will always vote in the one that puts on the best show and has the best poker face while spewing their lies. There isn't an honest one among them. We get exactly what we deserve in these useless wastes of skin and air.
