My vote for Salomon shoes too! I have had Puntera Low GTX model for two years now. It's not even a boot but trail shoe, and they are great! Withstand lot of rain, mud and even some snow! Very comfortable even on very hard terain. Boots can be only better

I also used them for some running, hiking, basketball...

I have used Merrell for the last 5 years, excellent fit and totally waterproof (Chameleon)
