Rove is ferociously smart, but utterly despicable in most respects.

The kid should have had some fun with it like mounting it in a taxi before posting the pictures online, then let the fools try to find it.

Sounds like Dad was a little kinky or at least suspect. Good to hear the tracker was not on a 90 year old grandma in a walker. Now if someone could tell Obama about the 12-14,000,000 illegals that are here and the southern border is almost wide open. Oh I think he has a tracker on Arizona Gov. Brewer by now.

Knew you'd think of a way to defend this.

Not really. If you are a student of history you will note Roosevelt read mail, telegrams and bugged embassies. The FBI-CIA and lesser known intellegence departments have done similar things since the civil war. That would be without looking at local police work. Nothing new. I can't get worked up over it and am glad at least some of the gov't is not asleep. They can bug or track me any time they care too if they have the time to waste. I havn't noticed any black space ships or choppers over the house and no Boogie Men in plumber vans across the street. The door to elsewhere is always open to real freedom. Please tell Obama we have been infiltrated with 12-14,000,000 illegals with about 20,000,000 still struggeling to get in packing many tons of drugs. I'll vote for a little more securiity anytime.

No warrant required? How can that be defended?

This makes this such a literal case in point for requiring one:

Wasted time and money...decreased real security.

How about microchipping and tracking your gun? How about a microchip in your ear, like they do with dogs?

When I read a post like that it really draws into contrast the utter faith in government of the far right and the far left. Security for the right is having the government follow your every move with a watchful eye so that nothing bad ever happens to you. Security for the left is having the government provide for your needs so that nothing bad ever happens to you. Both rely equally on a great deal of trust in the good will and competence of government.
