It's here: Vivitar's "New" revolutionary camera!

Forget about the K-5 and all it's complicated buttons and functions that you don't need, this is the real deal!

I like how the "flash" seems to be coming from the Vivitar logo... LOL

You would be surprised how many people want exactly this kind of camera. I got my parents a nice Canon P&S and they refuse to use it. Too complicated...can't figure out how to get the pictures out of the camera.

Steve, I gave my parents a Kodak P&S that was just about this simple. Just a basic 6 MP model and they use it all the time. (My Dad is 76 and no techie).

These would be perfect as backups for shooting weddings. I should get a couple to offer a hobby shooter package next year. Now what will I call that package.... hummmm

And it takes portrait-oriented photos without the inconvenience of having to rotate the camera.

You can say one thing about this camera that you cannot about ANY Pentax dSLR..... It's FULL FRAME
