How would John Cleese do a Pentax ad?

Now that is the question.

He would have a K-5 on a boot bouncing around squashing Canons and Nikons...

either that or he'd show a couple of guys shooting Canons and Nikons running inside as it started to rain... then he would say "And now for something completely different" as the camera panned to a guy using a Pentax snapping away as the downpour got worse and worse.

I like the idea of the "now for something completely different..."

Or perhaps it would go something like this.

[YT]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSqkdcT25ss[/YT]

The Hunt Ball Photograph
The Twits must have their photographs taken and make small talk with a pair of attractive females, Lady Arabella Plunkett and Lady Sarah Pencil Farthing Vivian Streamroller Adams Pie Biscuit Aftershave Gore Stringbottom Smith. (The photographer would be using a Pentax)

Just as Galahad is about to give all the Canikon users a good spanking, Lancelot barges in and saves him from almost certain temptation.

I should have been here two days ago--you beat me to it.

I visualize Manuel shlepping a ton of gear behind Cleese, barking his orders at him. (Not Pentax gear.)

Cleese screws up every shot (and we see every screwed up shot), Manuel gets abused because he gets blamed for the screw-ups, and then a 10-year-old girl with a K-x and 18-55 kit lens walks into scene and shoots the same subjects with magic imagery.

Cleese gives you his befuddled, defeated and angry Mr. Fawlty look and screams into camera something like, "Well, what do you EXPECT!? She's probably only TEN, and..."

When a decrepit 90-year-old man walks into scene with K-x around neck, takes a magical shot, and then cuts to an intrigued Mr. Fawlty.

Cut to the closing super:

"The Pentax K-x. The camera of (for) the ages."

Something like that. (Great tags take time to formulate.)

I wonder if Manuel is still alive.

I think that Cleese's wife, the maid in the show, died. Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong and they were divorced.

On the iTouch now, and can't comfortably browse.

Divorced, and he's alive and kicking at 80.
