Operation Market Garden

for most probably the largest and like the craziest daylight paratroop drop ever onto occupied ground...dont really see a lot of movies or literature based on the events surrounding it.

Not really much light on how they managed to be rescued as well.

Yes, "A Bridge to Far" is all about Operation Market Garden. Also, there's an episode of Band of Brothers that covers Easy Co's participation in that op.

Market Garden hasn't received a lot of coverage because it was a catastrophe for the Allies. IMHO, that is.

so what actually happened in the end?

1) they got rescued/escaped?
2) they surrendered?
3) joined the Resistance?
4) linked up with any outfit they could find?
5) all dead?
6) .....

thats a lot of paratroopers.
