How pathetic, little snow and some wind and everything comes to a grinding halt.
Amazing what media can do to morale.
jogiba, nice time lapse.

I think you all best come to Australia. Try this that we experienced all this week! That is in direct sun. Average has been about 44-46degc for a weeek. Barely sneaks under 30 deg overnight. (Ignore the floods, cyclones, bush fires etc etc!)
The Princes Hwy in the east of the state has been closed twice in the last week: once for bushfires and once for floods. If we add that to the snow on Lake Shore Drive, we've got a trifecta

That snow looks really bad. Stay warm, folks.

Richard.

Some old saying comes to mind. "You can always add layers, but you can take off only so much".

Then you get to decide whether you prefer frostbite or heat stroke.

As Dylan sang, "If you've got a bad cold, take a shot of malaria".

I remember last winter, when someone from Minnesota wrote on some forum that they were going to tie a snow-blower to the roof of their car and drive south until pedestrians started pointing at them and asking what it was. Sounds like a plan to me.
