Anyone else find the Oscars annoying?

I haven't watched it in years. It's boring. I don't think it's a conservative or liberal thing. In years gone by, viewers were at least entertained by great hosts such as Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, and Billy Crystal. It was always long and boring but in recent years, it really sucks.

I don't watch TV so I'm not annoyed at all. Only annoyance is being at my in-laws' when the bro has FauxNuuz (all he watches) up loud on the 60-inch screen. That's when I take my mini-notebook to another room and catch up on PFC. Oscars? Oh yeah, the Oscars. Whatever.

I too am amongst the ranks that haven't watched it, even for a split second, in years.

I'm not saying that Joan Rivers' fashion commentary played the major role in affecting my viewing habits regarding this big "event," but it sure pushed me over the edge.

It was Billy Crystal that started the ball in motion. I can't STAND that guy.

I find the Oscars annoying and I don't even watch it.

Agreed, the Social Network score was head and shoulders above the other noms.

King's Speech was a perfectly fine movie but this definitely felt like a very English Patient-style year (and I liked that movie better). Social Network shoulda taken best pic and best director.

Oh well.
