I have like 6 rolls of film from 2003-2005 maybe even older is it messed up?
Does the age matter and do you think if I got them developed would
I get anything back?

It's 35mm film I guess.

Generally it takes years to the film to deteriorate. I've shot two expired rolls (over a year beyond the date) and they are SUPERB. Fuji Superia X-TRA, ASA 400. Beautiful fine grain. It's more for photojournalism type shooting, I believe. They were stored at room temperature all this time.

Test a roll and see...

Exposed or unexposed? If your rolls are unexposed it does not matter to much, 5 or so years should not be a problem. Your film should have expiration date on it, but you can add a few more years to that date no problem. The first thing that starts to happen after a decade of storage is color shift, kind of wrong "white balance" in resulting slides while prints from negatives could be corrected to fair extend and it does not matter too much. Less obvious thing is drop in sensitivity, but it depends on exposure. Film still works and it would probably take decades to degrade below acceptable quality.

Exposed film should be developed as soon as possible. This especially applies to slide film. As soon as possible really means "within a few months", no need to rush. Just don't leave exposed slide film for years to sit undeveloped or you may get quite "artistic" result. Negative color film is a bit less susceptible to degradation and B&W negative even less so. When kept in the fridge exposed film should be OK for a year or so.

So I think your rolls will do just fine.
What type of film is it BTW?

Flickr is full of photos done with expired film. Some of it comes out quite "artsy" and interesting.

I have a roll of 35mm Ektar 25 that my mother recently sent over to me from stored camera stuff I had in the States. It must be at least 20 years old. I'm going to shoot it one of these days.

These days I keep all my film in the refrigerator.
