I don't see any threads discussing this one. Pentax LX SLR Film Camera Collection on eBay.ca (item 230601513108 end time 01-Apr-11 17:42:26 EDT)

There is some serious stuff to drool over in this set. It's going to be interesting to see what the closing price will be. Should we have a pool? My guess is $7500.00 although it's worth more.

Where's Jim King?

Woh. Good find Peter.
Would be an interesting auction to follow.
The kit could have been split - with 5 LX bodies and all those A* lenses...

Looking this over, the lens that's missing is the 200mm macro. Given the top quality of this kit, I'm surprised that's not there.

Why would anyone own 5? I had 2 once when I did weddings in film, it's such a tough, durable camera, I can't imagine why you'd own 5 $1000 bodies. There's an interesting back story here.

you should Mike. Go borrow $10K and when it arrives, start selling. Heck the VF's alone will net you over $1000. You should be able to sell most of it and keep a couple gems for yourself (free).

If you've never shot with the A* 85mm, you haven't lived. Best lens of any brand, old or new (including the Limited's and the FA*85mm).

Well given the condition of those LXs, seems like they weren't used too much. Someone just loves collecting

You're not helping.... I threw down what I could afford a last night, knowing it would go past that just so I could get an email on what it sold for. That lasted 8 hours......
