I almost cried....

So my wife loves to yard sale. (she is the cheap one, im the spender lol) but I try to go with her when i can. So today we came across the highest potential yard sale i have ever seen. First walk up and there is a BOX full of Precious moments dolls (or whatever they are) She collects them and has dozens. So this was like the ultimate jackpot for her. She went through them, all of them were junk. None were worth anything. What a waste.
SO thats the little thing. Then I run across a box of camera gear. This is where I come in. I love these little boxes because there is always something good. Start to peer and get that throw up feeling. A whole box of random lenses and gear. No front or rear caps at all. No cases, just open lenses. Dinged up, covered in dust and smudges. Picked up a few and they seemed to operate ok, but the glass it self was horrible. Just of the 2 I picked up. One was a 50mm F1.4, another was 100mm 2.8.. all older pentax K mount. I thought about offering a few dollars and trying to clean them with my tears, but figured it would be a waste.

I have seen junk lenses at yard sales, but it doesnt bother me because they are usually old cheapo lenses anyway. The 1.4 I looked up and they are selling on ebay for $150ish. What a shame...

The worst part about it is, there were leather lens pouches in the box, but they were empty. Go figure.

That is sooooo sad.... I might have tried to rescue the 50mm 1.4 anyway though... it doesn't deserve that kind of death.

I always take in the hard cases.

They had no idea of the value of these lenses... or didn't care... or were Pentax haters.
