School shooting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

is there any doubt that we live in a violent world where the continued decay of society in general makes one wonder if we are not taking violence serious enough I am afraid to say. We live in a world where flash mobs are created in minutes that attack people that flash rob stores all without any sense of wrong doing and we get upset when a school behaves cautiously? what if it had been something deadly he had left would you be so quick to shrug it off? In Mass recently a student fled a chemistry lab after an explosion and it was discovered the person was trying to make a variant of mustard gas. Yet we are too strict these days afterall they are just children.

It was a blow up doll!!!!!! Senior prank week!!!!
8yr felony.
Perhaps we should throw all children in jail, they're all playing with fire crackers around here.

Don't forget, Wallstreet blew up the economy and no one even came close to going to jail.

but if it had not been a blow up doll and people had been killed would you still care so little about it ? would it then be something so trivial? just curious what this has to do with your usual rant against business exactly?

It was a blow up doll!!!!!! Senior prank week!!!!

now assume that a person happens to have a heart attack and dies as a result of this simple prank is it still a simple prank? at what point should we make people take responsibility for their actions?

I can't recall ever hearing about a 17yr old girl having a heart attack upon viewing a blow up doll.

I'm not supposing anything. Just stating facts.
In the article it said if it was a gun it would only have been a 3yr felony.
Was that the only senior prank played in all high schools this year?
Or just the only one someone is being prosecuted for?

Still no comment on Wallstreet?
If your gonna' play law and order......PLAY IT ALL THE WAY!
Or don't play it at all.

alright what level of the law do you want to play at ?
Every member of the current administration as well as everyone in congress and the house of representatives could all be charged with war crimes under international law. do we start there? Every administration in the past 40 years minimum could also have been charged with war crimes should we do that?
Every business owner in the country that ever contributed to any campaign at any level and benefited in any way from that candidate winning and election in any form at all can all be charged with bribery of an elected official. should we do that?
Everyone that ever sold a mortgage or financed a mortgage or wrote a mortgage can all be charged with fraud in the past 12 years because they knowing wrote paper for people they knew should never have gotten loans. should they all be charged with these crimes?
Everyone that has ever threatened bodily harm over the airwaves or the internet regardless of left or right affiliation should all be charged threatening bodily harm are you ready to do that? Should we liberally apply the liable laws to everyone as well and arrest and charge them?

where is the line you want to draw in the sand and how far down the path of the rule of the mob do you really want to go?

Charge 'em all.........

You still missed Wallstreet though.

It's a mob when you gang up on a little kid and threaten him with an 8yr felony.
It's Democracy when you take down the REAL elites.

I take it you never talked to a shady mortgage agent?
That's what took that one down.
The BIG crash?
It was about so much more than just the housing/land market.

It would appear that you are the one calling for mob rule.

Always against the individual, never against the organizations, and the organizations do so much more damage.

On the school issue, I tend to agree with Jon. A felony may be a bit over the top but not the money. There need to be serious consequences to these kinds of actions that threaten the ability of a school to function.

I played pranks when I was in school 40 years ago, but it was a different world. No bombs and no guns appeared in classes. There were no security cameras, metal detectors or even guards or police. Schools get serious bomb threats way more than was true when I went to school. Because of the long list of disasters Jon posted, these threats are taken seriously. Pranks like this now are likely to shut down the school, costing the parents and taxpayers thousands, as well as causing the expense of police and fire involvement. A couple of thousand students, teachers, administrators, etc. came to work, and they won't get anything done.

Those who have actually killed and injured their classmates have, in effect, taken away the childhood of many others.

The fact remains, that if anyone took the time to actually walk in there, none of it would have happened. Do they call the SWAT team and bomb squad every time someone forgets and leaves a bag in the damn bathroom? Honestly, I think the principal (or whoever made the call) and the student should share the cost equally. Because they were both a bunch of dumb asses. But felony charges? Get the hell out of here.

The "you" refers to the US, given the story emanated from the US. Here in Australia, our society is in danger of imminent collapse due to the stupidity of political correctness. We are sick of having the sort of crap that the Soviet Union shoved down peoples throats being shoved down ours.
