Hey people, so many of you have such great bird shots I thought I would ask you to visit birdsite.org and upload them to the site. You don't have to know the name or taxon, just upload to the ID section. And, they don't have to be from N. America. I am only a user of the site so there's no hidden agenda.

Mike, the webmaster, has done a great job with the database. It won't take up too much of your time and, you would be helping so many people to identify a bird which they saw but didn't know what it was.

sent you a PM with 2 pictures. Just to ask what type of birds are you looking for - any everyday bird we come across or just a exotic looking one or two?

oh do ducks count :-) ?

The website looks pretty great. Some nice features on there to help people identify / search for birds.

Hi CJ, any picture will do, from anywhere in the world.
I've uploaded the images you sent but forgot to ask you the County where they were shot.

Pictures don't have to be perfect because they can be used as placeholders until something better comes along. The site is meant for common folks like myself, to identify a bird we've seen and want to put a name to it.

Thanks Paul and Andy.

I was going to suggest including them in this thread and just give me permission to use them, but I don't think Admin or Moderators would allow it.

My picture wasn't made with a Pentax camera but you have my permission to use it any way you wish and thanks for posting it on the BirdSite.
