"Hump" day for all of us Richard. Here at 38`38"N,from now on,
we'll be losing about 1 minute, 30 seconds of sunlight a day until Dec.21
you'll be picking it up till then.

It usually takes me about a week or two to notice the days getting longer.

We are at summer solstice and the decline takes much longer to register.

I am happy for you because I also hate the short dreary days of winter.

The shortening of days is depressing to me. Soon comes cold & death.

You know, I'm not one who looks forward to the long-and-bright days, Newarts, but High Sun is no time to be depressed, either way, I say.

The Wheel turns. Summer's yet to reach full heat, and after every winter, there's Spring. No time to be sad for the Sun's bright: sometimes it's as bright now as we can take, but it's not harvest yet, even.

That's why we keep dancing, dear fellow.

Nothing's forgotten, understand? Nothing.
