The ONLY useable shot I've gotten from an attempted (three year old, but not yet abandoned) project having to do with "faces-in-things". A standing reminder that it ain't over 'til it's over! I WILL get one more -- some day!

Mines a pic of statue I photographed in Barclona at the Sagrada Familia, designed by my most favorite artist ever. Gaudi. Was great to see in real life, what I had studied so many years ago in school. I particualrly liked this statue, The Thinker, the work is fantastic, it's cubist approach, the detail, all a wonder to me. And it kinda decribes me, I think to much..

In the almost two years I've been a member here I've actually never had an avatar until I made one tonight

Poker chips from my basement, relevant because it's how I fund my LBA

Oh! In the past I have only glanced at this quickly. I thought it WAS sprocket holes that you applied in PShop.
Thanks for the explanation.

My avatar is Boris Cleto, a cat my cousin brought back from Cornell. Boris was left on the porch of her house with a note that his owner had died. One of her roommates decided he needed a second name, so he became Boris Cleto. She came home from Cornell with two cats, one who had the same coloration as her mother & father's dog and who got along with their dog, and Boris who didn't get along with dogs at all. She was moving to California and couldn't take either. We ended up with Boris for about a year until my uncle found another home for him. That was more than 10 years ago, but he is still my online persona.

Sgt Storm (in the red space suit) a toy from childhood. The only toy I have kept for some reason. A pewter Marvin the Martian figurine that I picked up on a trip (I always kind of liked him). A lava rock from a Pacific island south of the equator (and a very end of that island that is a little hard to get too). From a trip to the island. A lava rock from a lava flow in New Mexico and a trip also. The rocks look a little like mars. All on a red bath towel. It was a project to help teach me flash lighting. The idea was to have a scene that had challenging items in it to light that was interesting.

I do not collect many items but the items I do hold onto I tend to keep for a long time. I suppose all of these items have something to do with my psyche but I don't know my shelf what. After I had the photo and moved on from the project I found I need something for an avatar. As an avatar is supposed to represent the person and this photo seemed to have many part of me in it it became my avatar.

Mine is me, taken at a Pentax snaps workshop. I generally dislike photos of myself, but I like this one.

Mine is a picture of a squirrel I took in the spring time. I did some editing to give it a funny look to it. It was just a fun picture to use.

Mine is the family coat of arms. Came across this while doing a little work on the family tree. I, with a lot of help from some Scottish kin, was able to trace the family back to about the year 1100 A.D. I was all set to start bragging about the family history until I discovered the family seat is now a landfill somewhere around Glasgow.
