Well, I ended up buying a Whirlpool but for one important reason. My opening is 31 1/2 inches from the wall to my kitchen cabinets and Whirlpool makes a 19 cu. ft. tier 3 Energy Star model that fits. The other brands all were smaller. Also, our local appliance store had it in stock. This is going to be a short term cure for LBA also.

I keep rebuilding my washer and dryer because there is almost nothing that will go down my stairs now. fortunately they are pretty simple machines to work on so as long as i can find the parts...
