To be camera "porn" the lenses need to be "topless" to show what is under the covers. I guess the lens caps are just black lingerie !

I've been looking around for something akin to the Lens Fetish Club thread, but for cameras / gear. I guess this is the closest it gets? I know the thread is quite dated, but pictures are still there, so... continue and show your gear

(or point me to another thread which is more suitable / more recent / more populated, that I missed)

Never understood the phrase “gear/food/car/etc porn”.

It reminds me of a story the British comedian David Baddiel tells about being stopped at customs with “adult” magazines. Upon being asked by the officials why he had the magazines he gave a very frank and graphic answer which sums up what porn is for.

I’d be very worried if pictures of camera equipment,cars or food were used in this way

To me camera porn would be gratuitous pictures of gear that have no socially redeeming value.

The first is my grandfather's Vito IIa. Over 70 years old now but working perfectly. It had a service to adjust the slower shutter speeds back in 2012, but that's all since new. They just don't make 'em like they used to. The second is my father's dream camera, which he could never afford, so I just had to get one a few years ago. It functions fine, but I still prefer the more compact and lighter Vito over it, despite the very basic scale focus.

Only have seen one Minolta XK and that was back when they were new. Minolta made some impressive cameras back then...the XK and the small Leica CL rangefinder twin, of which I wanted.
