ahhh memories
My first computer was a custom built Intel 386 with the optional 'math co-porcessor' I also opted for the extra large 120mb (mega byte) hard drive and upgraded to 4mb of RAM.Throw in a 24pin Color Star dot matrix printer. And finally a 14" color monitor it was more less state of the art then. This set up I actually took a loan out as it ran me about 5 grand
- I think they year was 1992 or 1993 somewhere in there. Oh how the times have changed eh
Dad bought me a Comadore Vic 20 in 1985 (3,583 bytes free on boot up , crazy some of useless stuff you can remember!) with cassette mode , becuase he thought it would help me in school. I was taking Computer Science and programming in Assembler, Cobol, RPG, JCL and Fortran 77
I got a magazine and spent all day keying a basic program (I think it was a clown pop the ballon game) and showed dad , he was somewhat less than impressed
