Out of curiosity, exactly what is a President supposed to do when his political opponents do everything they possibly can to block him from doing anything?
My understanding is that the President doesn't really have all that much power, or that much of the power is divested into Congress.
It just seems to me that what is happening in the USA is that the Republicans have pretty much tied up the operations of government so that nothing gets done, and then they are crowing about how ineffectual the government is.
