Wiki Loves Monuments is a European contest – organized in over 15 countries – around monuments. Cultural heritage is all around us, and this contest gives you the opportunity to discover the heritage nearby you! The 'greatest' monument in my area is a notorious brass plaque commemorating local brothels. Its tale was featured in Curt Gentry's classic book THE LAST DAYS OF THE LATE GREAT STATE OF CALIFORNIA. This Wiki Loves contest judges probably want different sorts of submissions, eh?
