What I remember about his governorship is that nothing got done. He is affable and his social views are easy to like, but you have to have some political skills or nothing happens. Oh, and he was famous for cutting costs where it made no sense. Spend 200+ million dollars on the I25-I40 interchange, and cut the last $3mm that makes it attractive. Millions upon millions of people would drive through that interchange and think Albuquerque was one of the ugliest places they'd ever seen.
I did enjoy seeing him debate Asa Hutchinson (from his own party) on the national drug policy.
