Where the hell is Rupert and Otis?

I hope Otis and his army didn't ...... Well..... That would be bad. Bad Otis!

Rupert was recently banned .... that's all I know (check his user status) - no idea why (well he was never one to hold his opinions so I can guess) , when, or for how long. Indeed if permanent he (and Otis) will be missed IMHO.

Not exactly sure what spawned the ban but there was a thread where a member requested that he not post photos of squirrels as they were not relevant to the discussion. Rupert did not say anything over the top as they began to comment back and forth, though the thread was shortly derailed.

This appears to now be the second forum from which Rupert has been banned, whether they be warranted or otherwise I am sure would be up for debate.

I never saw anything really wrong with his comments, I know one or two weren't too happy, but hey we all have fall outs. Come on back I say, I miss the furry little critter (and Otis too, haha).

Well, ouch. I actually liked reading his posts and actively set out to find threads he had.

Guess I am in the minority.. I talk to enough human "squirrels" that talking to a real one is not something I wish to endure. I see the playfulness of it all but it gets old fast.

I did not pull the trigger on Rupert or Otis.. just never participated in the threads as a way of avoiding the "squirrelliness" of it all.

That's too bad, he's a pretty funny dude, and one of the only voices that 'talk people off the ledge' regarding how crummy the perception of the k-5 is around here.

Always defending the K5, to many maybe irritating, but as far as I could see mostly in good jest.

Just interested in what a person that has been banned should do to be unbanned?

All in all Rupert is a nice guy. I never thought he was he was rude or his opinions out of line. I hope he comes back soon.

However his "Otis" posts while fun and funny in small doses often went on too long in some threads. And if it was suggested that enough was enough, Rupert dug in an gave us more. And whatever the thread's original subject was got lost and further reading became a chore or just as often pointless.

I want to see Rupert come back and it would be fun to see Otis from time to time. But like in-laws and party guests, it's best to know not to overstay one's welcome.

Fish, houseguests, and squirrels stink after three days.
