Sure pepper spray is not toxic although accumulative it may have serious permanent affects. It pisses me off that the hosts were making light of it only due to it being related to a vegetable we use in the home as if the fact that some of the protesters ended up in the hospital due to it did not happen. I have been hospitalized due to exposure of chlorine gas and it could be made light of as "isn't it what we use in our tap water so basically a health product". It was dishonest.

Well, speaking of how Fox News can make people 'dumber,' ...they actually teach that kind of faulty logic' as OK... they aren't just anti-intellectual in that way, they're actually anti-intellect: It's teaching people that as long as it's 'useful' to your ideology, you can make false associations like that, or apply a faulty premise to 'prove' something unrelated, etc. You certainly wouldn't want to apply that kind of logic when feeding your kids: capsicum is actually potentially *very* harmful in enough quantity/concentration, You can actually get chemical burns from it. And of course people actually have competitions about how much of it they can take. Which do, also, put a number of people in the hospital from time to time.

Is spraying someone in the face with pepper spray really any different than beating them? Either is an assault. I see no difference whatsoever.

I haven't heard the justfication, other than they were disruptive and removal was ordered. What I'm interested to know is, what exactly were the demonstrators doing that was harmful to the operation of the university, or unsafe for others?

Over here the Police consistenty take the trouble of carrying protesters e.g. blocking traffic and refusing to leave aside and issuing ticket/fine (*) for failing to obey the order to leave. Usually the protesters would be get hauled to the station for the paperwork (and/or to prevent them going right back probably). Using tear gas / pepper spray / batons / ... would no doubt get the officers themselves prosecuted.

(*) In case you wonder, these can be challenged, in which case the fine is canceled and the case goes to court (provided that the public prosecutor finds it worth pursuing); the Police issued fines are a pragmatic measure to reduce the routine case load of prosecutors and courts.

Hey! I learned something new: The Democrat party is full of people who get more from the government than give, and their voters are all about helping themselves to more of the Treasury.

There's actually a politician (maybe more than one!) named Brian Moran!
Brian Moran - Governor 2009

A Democrat, of course.

Since he is a Democrat, I'm sure his first name should be spelled Brain?

I got all 13, but the questions were so simple a cave man could get all that. I guess Faux News must think that was a real test of their dumb base.

Your words are hurtful.
