Those Iranians look like they need quite a lot of help.. perhaps the US should go and run their country for them ;-)

Sounds good, though they'll have to rid them of all the WMD's first.

Cheers yourself mate.

Just add up the fatalities from those conflicts and see if you think the human cost was worth the result. If you do then nothing I could say would be of any consequence.

your nation was involved in Viet Nam, so was Korea. The Korean war was never between the US and anybody, the Korean war is a war between north Korea (chinese communist and soviet backed) and South Korea. (backed by the UN, not the US separately) the divide between north and south Korea was a direct result of the Imperialism of Japan pre-WWII and their role in WWII. (both in Korea and China) Japan is the main (and initial) aggregator for the Korean war and the resulting divide. your nation also fought in the Korean war. both the Korean war and the Viet Nam war are far more complicated than simply saying the US tried to install its own government and run another nation. (both were intimately tied to WWII. a war in which the US was not an aggressor) and since your nation was directly involved in both these conflicts, I don't see how you can speak in what comes across as a rather 'high and mighty' attitude.

What they don't say in the article is that we're injecting them with Ebola before sending them back to Iran.

*Obviously* the Iranian Navy's been so busy posturing they haven't been doing anything else... That they might want to be doing. Like rescuing their people.

Also, whatever else you can say about the US Navy and Marine Corps, in times of moral and political ambiguity, everyone loves going tactical on pirates. It's been so since the days of wooden frigates. You know. 'Law of the Sea,' Law Of The Forest,' ...that kind of thing. Very simple.
