Well, this is not the most tolerant group when it comes to other religions. The man used a Yiddish insult to describe a Jewish senator, his predecessor said that God did not hear the prayers of a Jew and his colleague called Mormonism a cult. Of course in the 80s, about 40% of Mormonism's converts were coming from the Southern Baptists, and they've had a thing for Mormons ever since. No, wait, he probably just disagrees with Vulture Capitalism.

My firm belief is that religion should be separate from politics.

I guess they missed the Scripture in which Jesus stated his followers were no part of the world. (John 17:14-16). That would certainly preclude getting involved in politics and international disputes, warfare, etc.

It's clear that even Santorum isn't homophobic enough for Bryan Fischer. You should hear some of the crap that guy says, about LGBTs and other minorities... Most of the big names there are pretty much peddlers of radical intolerance in general, but that dude's obsessive. He's the guy who thought it was 'effeminizing' the military to give the Medal of Honor to someone who rescued a whole bunch of troops under fire in Afghanistan cause it wasn't enough about like slaughtering the enemy.
