The beach! and SeaWorld.

Maybe try the town of Byron Bay, about 1hr drive south.
Try the Glasshouse Mountains, about 2hrs drive north.

Maybe, also travel north to The sunshine Coast and checkout places like Maleny, Bribie Island,Maroochydore.Beautiful beaches and scenery up that way.
