Apart from the tax rates, I wonder if part of Romney's reticence is the Mormon connection - the Romney family is high up in the hierarchy, and there's the tithing and so on.

That $7mm donation on $42mm in income is a lot more than the 10% usually ascribed. He donates, mostly to the the LDS church, more than he pays the government.

Wow, now I finally see why Republicans are worked up about unemployment compensation payments. The "unemployed" Romney earns a median annual household income in about 19 hours. I'd sure take 99 weeks of that.
