Netanyahu wants Canada to wag too.

Netanyahu really seems to want to pick a fight, but it seems he wants other to do the heavy lifting.

Time for Canada to leave the nest, Bill. You guys need to go invade and trash another country all on your own.
Put your big-boy pants on and go kill people.

Until we get the Hans Island dispute settled I think our troops should stay at home.

Indeed, we might have to trash Denmark for their uppityness.

You clearly don't have the right attitude either. You're supposed to spread your troops out around the world, in as many theatres as possible. That way you maximize tax dollar expenditures (and profits to cronies, er.... contractors, and reduce your overall actual defense capability.

To cover and protect all of Hans Island is a massive military operation. The Danes keep invading and moving our pile of rocks to make their own pile of rocks. Much more serious than any threat from Iran. Iran has yet to move any of our piles of rocks. And more importantly who controls the pile of rocks has mineral (read oil) rights to a nice stretch of ocean.

The threat level is irrelevant. You've got a military. Go kill somebody!
We've been doing things that way for years. We have to because..... er....well.... I haven't quite worked that part out yet. I'll have to get back to you.

Would you be happy if we declared on Denmark and bombed Copenhagen back to the stone age?
Oops, we'd have to ask you guys to supply the bombs and bombers.
Well, what's spreading yourself a bit thinner among friends?

No, you have to pick on some country that is relatively insignificant in the overall scheme of things and hasn't actually done anything to you directly. You seem to have a legitimate beef with Denmark, so that doesn't count.

The Falkland Islands seems like a good stand by for everyone, would they do? Is there oil there? I assume we would not have to bring our own rocks

Argentina tried that.
Didn't work out quite the way they planned.

I dunno, a country that has done nothing to tick us off and that we have the military strength to beat up on...
I suppose we could probably take Nauru.
