Joe the Plumber for Congress?

Joe the Plumber goes to Congress? Why he's a huge underdog. - CSMonitor.com

We certainly hope so!

Was he not someone's tool in a previous election?

He got famous by being a political tool, but that does not necessarily mean he would be a poor congressman (it also does not mean he would be a good one).

IF he is competent, and IF he is willing to look for common sense solutions to some of our problems, he may not be a bad addition to congress. Perhaps he would bring a different perspective on some issues than the current crop of congressmen (who seem to be a large group of millionaires).

The real question is whether he is willing to learn about economics, foreign policy, etc, and use the information to make decisions, or will he just try and push an uninformed agenda.

He wasn't a competent plumbers assistant, why would anyone think he would be a competent politician?

Yeah, I don't know much about him. If he has shown himself to be incompetent already, he would probably not make a good congressman.

It just seems like one of those cases where he will be judged prematurely by many people.

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher is not registered to operate as a plumber in Ohio, which means he’s not a plumber. He is the brain dead Republican that complained about people making over $250,000 having to pay more taxes and it was shown he only makes $40,000 a year and owed back taxes.

He is on his way to being a good representative of others.

Just happened to hear an excerpt of an interview with CNN - they asked him about some anti-gay statements he made in 2009 during some other on-the-record interview, and he basically lost it, raised his voice, sounded comically unprepared, unprofessional, embarrassing...

What, you mean 'Joe-the-multimillionarie-plumbing-company-network-owner?'

He's like Romney Nascar, if he's even got an idea what 'pipe-dope' is without calling anyone a 'liberal druggie.'

I mean, say 'Liberal media' till you're blue in the face, but he was a rich guy plying 'astroturf' when the Baggers got started, you know.

Never mind the redistricting.

(Why am I the one with the memory-span, here? Gods. I may not be walking so good lately, but at least value me *paying attention to more than the last thing I heard.* Holy Mother of Punk, kiddies. )
