Calgary members?

I'm just curious if there are many (if any) members from Calgary, AB on here?

I think so ??? There are several Albertans myself included (Sherwood Park - just outside Edmonton) I know there is at least one from St. Albert , Lethbridge , Edmonton , Airdrie and at least one other from Calgary . Possibly others - we should all head up to the Mountains one weekend for a Pentax rally - Jasper , Banff , Louise don't matter to me I like 'em all.

The last time I drove from Calgary airport to Sparwood, it was just 208 miles, but I am in BC. Just barely.

That weekend won't work for me (in Vernon BC playing ball) - earlier or later is possible - August has a long weekend...... let' s see what kind of interest we get in this thread maybe start another one specifically for a rendezvous

Well it would be pretty cool to try and hook up for a fun shoot. I'm sure there's lots of tips and tricks to the Pentax cams that we all use on a daily basis and don't really think to share on here.

I'm up for a trip to somewhere this year though.

I live in Brisbane, Australia - but I bought my K10D in Calgary... does that count?

Little camera store on a corner very near the Fairmont Paliser hotel - can't remember the name of the store. Very helpful in there, and did a good deal too. Bought the K10D with a Tamron 18-250 lens as my first combo, and have now added MANY lenses and extras! Dang, this lens buying affliction is a hell of a disease!

Loved Calgary, and the Rocky Mountaineer. Hope to return in the next year or so, but for longer.

And (un)fortunately live close enough to walk to The Camera Store. I won't be here much longer though.

Is there a better camera store there? I was very happy with the deal I got though - especially compared to Australian prices.

Also happy with the advice - they seemed to know what they were talking about, not just trying to sell me stuff.
