Usually nature and macro shot's, or places where I can really take my time and not be disturbed.

Subjects: Whatever catches my eye.
Places: I especially like small villages.

To expand on subjects: People, clothed or not. Graffiti|street.art. History. Forms|shapes|patterns. Machinery. Artifacts. Shadows. Reflexions. Edifices|structures. Motion, especially fluids. Parades|processions. Symbols. Whatever.

Landscapes (mountains, wide-open spaces, small cozy spaces).
Waterfalls (anywhere).
Underwater stuff (although I can't use my Pentax for that...), here around Puget Sound, or on vacations like the one I just got back from in Hawaii.
Rocks (outcrops, patterns, textures).
Interesting things of all sorts.

People - meh...

Jim

I love high granite! The Sierra Nevada and Wind River Range top my favorite places. Other landscapes come next, flora and dappled light by a stream are nice.. and a sunset anywhere, as long as no power lines intervene.

Well, my wife's flowers and our garden's bug population, of course my daughters, getting into street photography, stained glass, old French buildings and doors ...

Addendum: We should remember that our cameras do not capture subjects. They capture light. If light falls upon suitable subjects, all the better. But without light, our subjects are useless. So be sure to always carry a phosphorescent jellyfish with you.

Portraits, animals, and landscapes. That pretty much exemplifies my Flickr account. Landscapes seem to be less out of the three for me, but i think it's because I'm too lazy to wait for good lighting.

Landscapes in general, waterfalls in particular. I also like shooting abandoned industrial sites and old mills & dams.
I'm planing to head out to this place in June.
