I was told you can play e books on some readers. I've never tried a reader. But was interested in the audio if it could read it to me. Had anyone tired it? Is the tone monotonous or does it resemble a true audio book if it is being read from a regular e book?

In my opinions, audio books have to be read from human beeings.
I like to listen audio books, but the voice of the reader is really an important "feature" for me.

Yes, there are several applications out there that do that now. I've seen them. At least for Android.
