Soooo Slow.....

seems the forums are extremely slow today, too me a good 15 minutes just to navigate to this portion of the site to post this (each click taking on average 3 to 5 minutes to load).

That's an understatement, took 30 minutes to post a reply. Could be one of two things: Record numbers of users, or Mo's new moderators moderating. Need to feed the mice Mo

I think the server slow down may be due to all the viewers trying to access the news and rumors forum and the supposed first photos from the "K20D"

Yeah, I'm sure the servers can't handle the load they are under. I had times when I couldn't even get to a page, I would get a browser error saying the server took too long to respond. I can't wait until these rumor threads stop.

Yeah - I agree - magical pictures taken in a undisclosed desert location from a unseen 'mystery' camera and no EXIF data. Now is the time to be selling swamp land in Florida; people will believe anything!

Whether it is true or not it is still a load of BS!

There are certain non-critical board features that could be turned off to speed things up.. like showing the # of users/guests browsing every forum section and their handles as well.
