Water guns have not much killing power, but a high rate of mischievous use. Concealed weapons are the opposite.

Actually, they are NOT allowing them inside the convention. There is no legal grounds for banning them in downtown Tampa. Besides, substantial number of registered Democrats have ccw in Florida. It isn't like the usual criminals are going to magically stop packing knives, ball bats, guns etc. just because a bunch of rich nerds show up to a convention.

I suspect they just know those water pistols will contain anything but water ;P

Then again being sprayed with well fermented piss would be better, I would have thought, than some lone gunman going nuts and causing a blood bath. So I'm glad they banned the real guns too. Got to be careful in these febrile times!
