I remain unimpressed by your photos, pet. They are pretty terrible.

You can keep your distance with the K5....and sometimes that counts for a lot! Of course, if you use a phone camera and get a little too close, you can always call 911!

BTW- Nope, that baby in there didn't make it!

Still waiting for that "...v.s. K-5".
Are you going to post side by side comparisons of iphone and K-5 shots off the same subject? If so, what lens on the K-5?
If not, I will feel inclined to move this thread from the K-5 forum, since it appears so far to have nothing to do with the K5.

Yeah - I don't get the point of this thread.

My iPhone 4 was a decent camera, for a phone. What it was not however was a useful phone or a data transfer device and it went back after just three weeks (think antenna gate).

My HTC Android phone does not produce images of the quality of my iPhone, even though the pixel count is greater. That just proves that there is a lot more to a quality sensor than how many pixels it possesses.

But my Vietnamese DA* lenses produce stunning images mounted on my K-5 - at least in my hands. If you are making better images with an iPhone than with a K-5 I suggest you sell the K-5 and find a new hobby.

This thread URL is probably cut and pasted into some Canon forum somewhere to chuckle at our reactions and see how much we bite.

So, I'd just like to give, to the OP and the other viewers of this thread, wherever you may be, big hugs and kisses on a poor trolling attempt.

Comparing a phone camera with K-5??? I almost got fainted ;-)
If taking snaps is what one needs, then you don't need a 400$ phone, a 100$ P&S that fits in your pocket will do it much much better.

BTW, pls don't say next Gen iPhone will kick out DSLRs from the market...

Just remember that although many people treat their pets like people, they are not. They need our care and protection!

I wish you would move this whole thread to the recycle bin, the guys an obvious troll. Except that some bonafide members have posted some very nice "real" macros which I enjoyed.

Is it easier to take a picture with a fixed phone camera? Sure. They have their uses. But resolution is still resolution - and a good macro lens is still just that - macro. And a 500mm telephoto has higher magnification than a phone - there's no argument here. Have phone cameras caught up? Yes, and they may kill the P&S market. They won't kill the DSLR market though, they're not doing the same things.
